This boutique little winery in the Barossa continually produces some of the most interesting and impressive wines from this region. In this case, it’s a combination of the cooler Eden Valley spicy, peppery influence with the darker rich fruits of the valley floor. This is an intense and concentrated wine delivered on a full body. Yet it retains a vibrant liveliness thanks to its acidity and bright fruit characters. It brings together slightly vanilla oak, spice and dark fruit characters into a compelling combination. It’s an intense and concentrated wine that will continue to evolve over the next fifteen years.

Deep crimson. Lovely blackberry pastille, cassis aromas with some praline, hint fennel notes. Inky deep and voluminous with ample dark berry fruits, superb chocolaty textures, a hint of herb/leafy notes and some vanilla, marzipan oak. A touch of aniseed at the finish. A beautifully balanced wine with the richness of shiraz offset by the vigour and animation of cabernet sauvignon. ---Andrew Caillard MW and Andrea Pritzker MW
